I've the foundations laid for my workshed 4.5m x 5.5m. It will have a double door and two windows, 100mm floor insulation, 1st course of quinlite, and 150mm cavity wall. I've gone for this spec to allow for future alternate usage although that isn't on the cards anytime soon, if ever. Predominantly it will be a store but will be used for bits and pieces of projects.

So my query what are my ventilation options? This is on an elevated site exposed to the west coast so I'm not keen on a simple 4" hole in the wall. It's 12m from the house which will have HRV.

You can get small MHRV units for studio apartments etc.

Could also go with the wall mounted thin wire units (not sure if i can name them)

Depends how much you want to spend

Unless you're making it as airtight as a house any mhrv is a waste of money, and a garage doesn't warrant it.

I've a fully insulated 12 m x 8 m garage with several 100mm vents and louvres and it works well.

The vents don't have to be on the West.

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”
