grounding mounting bracket?

    hi folks

    whats this about a lightning device that was on the instructions on the lidl receiver?

    where can i get this and how do u ground the mounting bracket?
    sorry if this is silly questions,,,

    To ground a mounting bracket you connect a heavy guage earth wire from it to a buried ground rod. TBH though 99.9 % of sat dishes do not use ground wires

    To be honest I wouldnt bother unless

    1) You live in a country with high levels of thunderstorm activity or
    2) The dish is mounted on your roof
