Accessibility in Dublin?

Hi all! I'm visiting Dublin City in about 3 months and I am looking for accessible places to stay and eat during my trip. I am traveling with a friend who is a wheelchair user so it is very important that we find places that meet our access needs.

Does anyone have any suggestions for where I could find accessible places? Or does anyone have any recommendations?

    Thanks!

Most modern / large hotels will be fully accessible. Smaller / older ones will be a mixed bunch,

Trams and city buses are fully accessible. Trains require a ramp, which requires a staff member. Coaches and tour buses will be mixed.

Most footpaths have dished kerbs and accessible push-buttons, but some individual locations don't.

Tourist venues and restaurants will also be a mixed bunch and it's worth checking them out beforehand. The more popular ones will be accessible. Shops are generally accessible.

Just be aware that although many places say they have accessible toilets in reality that may not be the case. My mum is in a wheelchair and i have been to several restaurants in Dublin (although these have not been in the city centre) that have disabled facilities where she either couldnt get to the bathroom or it wasn't big enough for the chair. Many places are improving and there are certainly more options available
