I think the SE is 20, going to 30 after the break, but I'm not 100% on that.

Stupid question maybe - and just out of general wonderment mostly: but has the Fitz gotten in new chips recently? Or are they still using the aul timey brown and baise chips for the larger values?

By the way, I think this sticky is working very well thus far. Wp Dom.

They've stopped using those pieces of crap and are back to the green and pink ones (the new stock, not the old stock). I still don't know of any logical reason for using those crappy ones.

the brown and basie chips were used instead on the orange/yellow/pink/green chips - which are used all the time-

if you would ever play shadowless - u'd know these things....

Good. Yeah, they were really, really bad. As chips go of course.

Split the €55 in the Jackpot headsup with Gordon. He took €500, I took €400. Jeff was third for €150 after he tried to bluff me for my stack when I was holding the nuts. :D

21 runners. Good structure. Enjoyable game.

Ha thats funny member when I was leaving I said "At least my chips are going good use!"

35 - 55 depending on factors that are many and varied. Cards will be dealt at 20.50 earliest to 21.00 at the absolute latest.

Ya, it's not too bad. 6k starting, 3x25 mins, then to 30 mins (might jump again later, not sure).

    25/50
    50/100
    75/150
    100/200/25
    150/300/25
    200/400/25
    300/600/50
Thats as far as I went. Overplayed TT on a 9 high flop, ran into KK.

i dont have much experience with antes but the jump from 75-150, to 100-200-25 seems quite big. you go from 225 a round to 525. im probably wrong though but that seems like quite a difference.

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,638 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

well no matter when you introduce them, this will happen

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,860 ✭✭✭ditpoker

yea i suppose thats fair. i just never really understand why a place that is effectively 24hr (i.e. they CAN stay open) rush to a finish. i know from a business point of view the quicker the tournament players fall the more cash/house games get going. but there are people who are predominantly tourney players who just leave when they bust. and so what, you have 15 less lads gambling for an extra hour... start at 8... 25-30 min clock the whole way through with no antes and decent stack, playable and will end at a reasonable hour.

and you never see "hey lads, we're at the final table now, and you're all even enough in chips so we're gonna wind the clock back two levels to make it more enjoyable, sound good, any objections?" ... and thats another thing, say you have a 60+ field and you get down to the last 9, or last 6, why not bring it back a few levels, these 6 or 9 will be playing for the prizepool anyway, they are in no rush to the cash tables... wind the clock back... give an extra hours play...

put me in charge, or better yet, put lloyd in charge and we'll see the introduction of the 125-250 level and the 250-500 level... both good levels if i do say so myself...

and another thing... what is the story with writing a thesis.. fudging "literature reviews" !!?!? blow it out your a$$ boys, am i not allowed have an independent thought, must be forced to effectively plagiarise other people's waffle... and lets face it if you write 20,000+ words on ANY topic they aren't gonna fail you... basically im working for the wiggle room somewhere between 40% and 75%... fudge that!!!

i think it more because of this thing call work that most ppl do durin the week - never heard of it myself... but apparently ppl were complaining that the tournaments were going on too long...

again, probably true... but i have to question the mentality of someone who goes into a tournament that starts at 9pm who expect to do well and get a full nights sleep?!?!

more evening starts (6pm 7pm)... i know the 9pm start i smeant to cater to those who finish at 5, but lets say a club picks a thursday to have a 7pm start (50+5) game, with a decent structure, and then a 9pm (27+3) game with a quicker structure. people can make thurs "poker night" and if they bust early in decent structure game, they can play the 9pm game too (which will allow late entries for an hour!!) so people can have a full nights entertainment for less than 100 and get some kip in after!! the 27+3 that the fitz runs on a sunday never lasts more than 4 (max 5) hours. i reckon first club to adopt my dual tournament idea.. from here on in refered to as "DitPoker Dual Tournament Theory (2007)"... will be the most successful dublin casino ever ever ever...
