Been listening to a lot of Mark Bell / LFO this week due to his passing. Sad to hear this news...

Logged into stereomood for the first time in ages last week and came across this gem (ignore the awful song title). He also has a soundcloud page with some other really good tunes. Lovely mellow, ambient vibes.

Weird story - Start a new job, am introduced to the chap I'm replacing. Emotions are high and things are a bit awkward given the tension surrounding the circumstances of their removal, but apologizes and helps show me the run of the place the next day and we start chit-chatting normally, getting along pretty well.

After a week, it's farewell time - And I've learned that the person being booted is almost identical to me in nearly every way, and shared similar if not identical views on almost all subjects, to the point where I'm convinced I'll eventually meet the same fate as him at some point given I'm likely to follow his footsteps due to the similarity and belief that he was right in what he'd done.

In the goodbye thread posted on site, he posted a track from a band called "Easyworld", Goodnight, My Friend. Turns out we've the same music taste as well on top of everything else.

On going through David Ford (lead singer of the above) solo career, I stumbled on this gem which has been on repeat for a few days, now.

Video is also pretty darn awesome for a cheap one-taker.

As for the tune that got me on the music hunt in the firstplace:

Very fresh after the half-decade.
