    Hi.

I regularly put coins in the Cork Animals Home 'Charity Dog' collection points {the plastic dog with the coin slot on its head}.
Would it be okay to put in coppers as well as 10s, 20s, 50s, etc.? The reason I ask is because I don’t want to cause more trouble that its worth with all the coppers. Do these charities count with machines or do they hand count {in which case coppers would be a nuisance}.

    Thanks.

Well - I don't know about this specific charity - but I used to be a Fundraiser for a charity and would never say no to copper coins!!! Most charities would have coin counters these days, and even if they didn't, would appreciate donations of any size.

I also emailed the CSPCA and they said the same thing. :)

Yep. Charity I volunteer with has the same opinion! So much so that we bought a mini coin counter for the coppers. It all adds up
