Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Got this in the 3 for €33 HMV Sale at the weekend.. had always heard about how Warner Brothers issued them with a faulty disc when they were first released but assumed that problem was taken care off by now.

    Put it in the DVD Player tonight and couldn't find the audio / visual commentary by the cast.. which is the main reason i bought the film (the Cyndi Lauper music video just doesn't do it for me!!).

    Found this Warner Bros. press release online:

    Warner Home Video regrets to announce that, due to a manufacturing error, the DVD version of The Goonies has been distributed with an incomplete disc.

    The incomplete DVD disc contains English language only and not the full range of languages listed on the sleeve. In addition, the audio commentary is missing from the disc.

    The correct version containing all the listed languages plus the audio commentary will be available at all retailers from next Monday 11 October.

    Anyone who has purchased a copy of the DVD containing the incomplete disc can exchange their DVD for the correct version by following these instructions:

    Remove the DVD disc from its box

    Place the disc in an envelope along with your name and address

    Seal the envelope and send FREEPOST to:

    PO BOX 327
    HAYES
    UB3 1BR

    Please allow up to 28 days for delivery of replacement.
    Anyone send off a copy of their own yet? If the freepost address still applicable if sent from Ireland? Can't really return to HMV cos i'm in Sligo and probably won't be up in Dublin for another couple of months.. with college work / work experience etc.
