Lidl are selling a 30W fine soldering iron that they state is for "intricate soldering" for €6.99 on Thursday. I don't mean to sound cheap but i have no other use for a soldering iron other than the installation a wii chip. Should I still pay €26 for 15W soldering iron that I will never use again?

P.S. Is the wiikey still the best chip? Is there any irish resellers on the net?

Please reply as soon as possible as I would like to install this as soon as possible!!!

A 30 watt is too much man, according to research i was doing a 12/15 watt should be the max that you use. I think a Cyclowiz looks like it's the best as it has an external switch for upgrading firmware if need be. A lot of people that have Wii-keys seem to be underwhelmed at best. Wii-free's are a good choice as they are dirt cheap but you'll need a programmer for it to upgrade
