We have the bitch thread and it's popularity of recent times is unnerving, you'd swear UL was a desperate place to be :P

So lets have a complete opposite thread - what made you smile today or made your day? Looking forward to anything in particular?

Me = Xmas Daze, cannot wait! :D

This thread is a very good idea imo..

I know that I started the daily bitch thread as I was having a particularly poor day, but UL is a fantastic place to be, and most days do not involve awful things!

So, I'm glad that the Stables is open again on Sunday nights!! I was able to go out tonight for a few quiet pints and be home at 11:20pm also..

I missed my Sunday night pints!

The pints of Guinness in Stables and Scholars, for some reason when I started UL this September I thought that being student pubs the pints would be rank, but they're pretty decent to be honest.

Bumping into people you haven't seen since primary or Junior Cert around the place is great. I met an old friend today on the bus into town, hadn't spoken in ages to him.

Apart from my rant on the other thread just now, I had quite a good day!

I love the full-brekkie in the Paddocks..€5.80 for it, with tea and toast...superb stuff, all nice and fresh about 9am this morning...started my day so well :)

Then got feedback from a lecturer about a HR interview I conducted last week, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well I did, as I really was looking at getting a D-grade in that module, now I'm possibly looking at a C-grade of sorts :)

Also, the KBS is so nice and warm in comparison to my house...Its comforting [kinda] to be in there all day..

That warm, fuzzy feeling you get when you hand in an assignment you're happy with or do a decent presentation.

I realise that the feeling isn't specifically a UL one, but I think the whole place looks brighter afterwards. It wouldn't be the same on any other campus!

The chocolate stall is great. I go every Tuesday now, without fail. My usual is the Raspberry Square, but I tried Mint Caramel today; lovely.

I'd murder a pint from the stables ....not cashels, or Murphy's or smithwicks,

    actually maybe just Guinness

One essay done, and a day in advance too! :)

*Now to the other 2 essays and presentation to be done

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,219 ✭✭✭Mossin

This must be my most productive day ever!

Second essay practically finished with just under 4,500 words written! [I had written just over 1,500 before today]...
But still, 2 essays down 1 essay to go! :)

I kinda wish I had Xmas Daze tickets now...but no!! I still have a third 5,000 essay to do, and a presentation to prepare for...
