Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    This Thursday sees the return for the fourth time of one of our favourite DJs, Ben Sims. Ben is one of the best DJs in the world and he never fails to ignite the club when he plays. Devastating skills and tracks from Detroit and Europe combine to rock the dancefloor like a bulldozer. Ben last played alongside Surgeon for an exclusive Dj/live hybrid set and before that for an Acid House night with Paul Mac so this will be his first solo return show since July 2004. He currently runs three labels [Ingoma, Theory, Native] each one with a distinctive sound, ranging from funk driven techno and house to melodic electronica and these labels encapsulate perfectly the sound of Ben Sims DJ sets. The past six years have seen Ben constantly touring and tearing up dance floors at legendary clubs & parties such as Liquid Room, Sonar, Limelight, Rex, Zouk, I Love Techno, Tresor plus hundreds of others with his tight, energetic and skilful brand of 3 deck wizardry. He has also recorded three mix CD's showcasing his natural DJ talent. Warm-up duties come from EC's third-oldest resident (answers on a postcard) DJ Simon Conway.

    Hello ha!

    Tomorrow night sees Ben Sims become the first DJ to play EC using three decks and two CDJs. Ben only uses the elusive Technics Mark 5 G turntables - which we managed to track down for this set from Musiklab [R.I.P] in Waterford. As Musiklab is no more the decks will be on sale after the show. Mail us if you are interested in buying them for a very good price. Our south east bubble boy Niall Power will be driving the mark 5g's up from Waaaaaterford so we told him to pack his laptop and play some MP3's before Benny Boy makes you sweat and drop your jaws in awe. You can PM your name for our 10 euro guaranteed entry list.
