Anyone having a bit of a flutter at the weekend?

I have a tenner accumulator on:

    Amir Sadollah
    Cole Miller
    C.B Dolloway
    Eddie Wineland
    Charles Oliveira
    Jim Miller
    Dan Hardy

    €10 gets me €284.69

Good bet. I think I'll have a punt at that too. Thanks

struggling to find something to bet on here

think lytle might beat hardy especially if he takes it to ground
cerrone was a nice price at 6/5 but that was cut to evens
just not sure how good oliveira is yet myself
i probably won't bother wasting money on it though

one bet that did catch my eye was jim heltes by sub at 8/11 (paddy)
1st fight in the ufc but his record is 8-0 with all wins by sub and
he's won his fights with nearly every kind of sub out there

his opponent bruce leroy himself has a record of 5-3 but all
three of his losses were by sub and to be fair he is hopeless.
he will no doubt lose this and his next fight and that will be
the end of bruce leroy as far as i can see
not a great price at 8/11 but it'll do and that'll be my only bet

Good call, but Damn Bruce Leroy is fcuking awful, he coulda been subbed in any of 10 different techniques!!

only after finding out and only just tuned into facebook so dont know
if it was on or not but you must have seen it there im thinking

totally forgot about it and only after checking sherdog to get the result
thinking it would never be on tv given it'll probably be half ads

whatever happened, i just figured a win for leroy was very highly unlikely

very small stake purely for an interest
no real confidence and can't call some of these
hoping lytle can finish with a win though and i'd
love to see miller earn a title shot

    treble of
    cerrone 1/1
    lytle 5/6
    miller 4/7

    Shame :(

Had Lytle on a single with 5/6 like you. Mate had a double of Lytle and Miller (was too late to include Cerrone) aswell :/

anyone having a bet for UFC 134?

    Thinking of going with:

    Luiz Cane 4/9
    Brendan Schaub 4/11
    Ross Pearson 15/8

thinking of having a big bet on the barboza/schaub double which pays
    slightly over evens with boyles
the fact its in brazil is the only thing stopping me going mad but
i still think schaub will beat nog handy
i think barboza will take pearson without too many problems
his performance against njokuani was outstanding and home
    advantage to boot also

id have barboza priced up a lot shorter than 2/5 myself
i've all but convinced myself they will both win
love to hear other opinions though

    Quick question....

PP has Forest Griffin to win by KO at 17/2
Does anybody know if they pay out for a TKO or is it just purely KO??

i'd save ya money though, the only way Forrest is winning this is by decision

I thought it might be worth a tenner though. He's at 13/5 to win by decision.
There's not much else I fancy betting on that night so I might take a chance on it.
I'll prob be back here on Sunday telling you that you were right though! :D

Barboza surely has to be bomb proof in this UFC. Cole miller was getting the better of Pearson standing before he subbed him so Barboza will surely eat him alive?
I'm going doing 30euro double with Boyles to win the guts of 49euro. Going with Barboza and Paulo Thiago to win. I could get stung with Thiago as I have never seen his opponent Dave Mitchell fight. From looking at the records though Thiago seems to have faced higher level opponents especially in his UFC career to date. Thiago also has his back to the wall in this fight coming off two decision losses to Sanchez and Kampmann and with a 3-3 UFC record to date and possibly his job on the line, I expect him to put in a massive performance and take the win.
Like Mailburner I think Schaub should win but am keeping clear incase Big Nog fighting in his home country fires him up to put in a big performance or else if it goes the distance gets him an undeserved hometown decision.

I'd be surprised to see Thiago drop another. The last two were very competitive and I think he beat Nightmare. I'll be backing him. Had 3/4 at Bellator (granted Konrad and Bazzare were sure things), got Kimbo killer and Marlon Sandro goes and lets me down.

Did you get to see Bellator and if so where? I'm in Ireland and never get to see them, I must check if i can get a download, was it worth watching? I saw the Curran ko allright in a clip online.

It's not really a great betting card that's for sure. The ones expected to win are too short to have a bet on and the non brazilian fighters you think will win could be edged out by the fact they're in there home country. I don't know too much about Barbosa but he's now gone in to 3/10 on PP. Ross Pearson is underated he's faced some tough people in his first couple of UFC fights and I think this could go either way, might stay out of that one. I won't be betting too much on this card as it's a tough one.

From what's on the card and with ok odds I think I'll go with:

Shogun, as much as I like forest I think he will be too much for him
    Luiz Cane;
    Brendan Schaub and;
    Rousimar Palhares

Went for an ambitious yankee on paddy with Big Nog, Pearson, Dan Miller and Erick Silva.

I'm a big Forrest fan and I think that 17/2 is a good bet.

However, I think his next fight we will see a stoppage, he's taking some time off and is going away to be coached some new things. I assume this will be in the striking department so hopefully he doesn't win by KO this fight so his odds will be larger in the next one.

I have Silva to win by KO @ 4/5, Shogun to win @ 4/11, and a treble of Schaub/Cane/Barbosa all wins @ just over 3/2

    Can't wait :D

    ^^

Paddy Power offering Shogun, Silva and Schaub all to win by KO at 10/1

    Underdog Special

  • Registered Users Posts: 813 ✭✭✭Shazbot

I went with the submission sepecial on paddypower. The ko special was tempting but I think griffin will take it.

Also gone with 2 signles with Forrest to win by decision @ 11/4 and palhares by submission @ 21/10.

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,797 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

just the one big bet for me and this double
miller has never been stopped yet i still can't see him
beating palhares although i was still tempted by the palhares sub.

i'd like to be wrong on that though and above anyone, i'd like
to see palhares beaten as like mrstuffins said in the main
thread for this that he is a classless fighter and i can't
but agree with that although much stronger words come to mind

just not sure about rua blowing griffin away either and that
price seems big enough to me

Hmm... I'm going to use my profits from last time out and blow it all on massive odds

€2 on Underdog Special - Big Nog, Forrest and Pearson to win - 30/1
€5 on Assuncao, Paulo Thiago, Palhares, Tavares, Luis Cane & Big Nog to win - 15/1
€1 on Assuncao, Paulo Thiago, Palhares, Tavares, Luis Cane, Big Nog & Okami to win - 75/1
€2 on Paulo Thiago by KO - 13/2
€3 on Paulo Thiago by Points - 7/4
    €2 on Ross Pearson KO - 9/1
€3 on Big Nog by Sub - 5/1
€2 on Big Nog by KO - 14/1
€3 on Big Nog by Decision - 7/2

And it's too late to bet on SoTN, FoTN or KOTN :(
