You're better off, long stints of idling is very bad!

    Lesson learned! :)

Got 36mpg out of the primera on a return trip from clonard in meath through galway city and out to connemara. 140km/hr all the way on the m6 and took it handy on the road out to connemara, 70/80km/hr due to traffic. Poor for a 2.0td?

    Higher speeds = lower mpg.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,316 ✭✭✭Mycroft H

    They the old Primeras?

Suppose it's not too bad for a 90bhp at 140km/h.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,480 ✭✭✭YbFocus

That was tipping it on for trying for mpg :)
Still would have expected 43-45 though, does seem low!

I'll measure it again at 110-120 on the motorway and see if it makes much difference.

Got 34mpg going to cork and back on tuesday. Same motorway speed but a spirited drive across the back roads to straffan and the traffic in cork city must have dropped it further.

Ye it's an old p11 estate. I was trying to see how bad it could get! I was hoping for low 40's. Would expect high 40's then taking it handy.

Think I might have problems with vacuum to the wastegate or fuel pump timing. Feels underpowered even for 90hp. If that doesn't work it'll be going on done deal!

Opinions sought on a matter here. Spotted a white RCZ this evening with the same alloys as on my own but in black, along with the wing mirrors. I thought it looked quite nice but my girlfriend reckon gloss black on gloss white looks tacky. Anyway I have been thinking of doing something with the car, I don't exactly know what but I think I might go with this. What do you think?

    As it is

    What I saw

Or maybe (with the mirrors done too)

You don't live in limerick do you?

  • Registered Users Posts: 22,929 ✭✭✭✭ShadowHearth

I like the black and white wheels, not full black ones though.

No, not anymore but I've got family in Limerick.

I believe there is an RCZ like mine going around? I'm yet to spot it though.

    Silver?

No it was that kind of blue/grey you see on a lot of M-Sports, some built fella driving it.
