Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Anyone ever wild camp on Omey island itself, been out there a few times on a motorcycle, most people camp on or near the beach on the mainland side or at the Eco campsite closeby

    Nobody? ill just have to take photos of the tractor rescuing us as we attempt to get out there :eek:

    It works, just make sure to power-hose the underneath of your camper, my niece took the video on the return journey after spending a very enjoyable quiet night on the island.

    Stayed overnight at the far western end, few walkers passed by next morning, another in a jeep, farmer I think, passed by, turned around and departed right away............trying to get a link to a few photos, ill post them in a while
