Drove from Ireland to Poland a few days ago. Meeting up with friends tonight and want to run the stereo (car radio). I'm plugged into the wall so I have power. In just worried that the stereo will be powered off the car battery instead of outside power. Don't want to kill my battery for the sake of a few tunes.

Car radio runs off the starter battery. I can't say if your charger charges just the leisure battery or both. Run a jump lead from your leisure battery to your starter while the radio runs if you are worried. This will charge the starter from the charging leisure battery.
Really a few hours of radio or aux. input shouldn't upset the starter, I run mine for days sometimes. Playing a cd or cassette in the radio is another matter and will drain it.

Don't leave the jump leads connected after bedtime, mismatched batteries don't like being paralleled for more than a few hours.

In any case you can always jump start yourself in the morning off the fully charged leisure battery.

Decided to run the laptop off the sockets instead. At least that's coming from shore power. Don't want to risk it.

    Can't fault your wisdom.

If you have a voltmeter the starter is charging if it's above 13.0v.
If it's not charging then as long as you stay above 12.4v/12.5v you'll have no problem.

I play the radio for a few hours and also charge my phone off the starter battery while parked up, never had a problem
