Sorry about the lack of recent posts, wasn't too many betting opportunities for me lately and haven't been updating the bank. With the National Hunt season really swinging into action now I'll have more regular tips and updates.

Green Bank (+18pts) won by 7 lengths at Plumpton on the 21st of September. The other 3 selections on that day were all unsuccessful. Frontier Spirit (-2pts) could only manage third, he went on to score since. Fantasy King (-1pt) unseated his rider in the same race. Diamond Gesture (-4pts) also unseated her rider, only getting as far as the second flight of hurdles.

Today we had Ted Dolly (-2pts) finish a disappointing last in the opener at Huntingdon. Vermouth Bleu (-1pt) also finished last in his race but is definitely one to watch when McCoy is back on board. Milgen Bay (+22pts) however made it a very good day winning by 1 and a half lengths. This takes me back into profit for the log and hopefully it will be onwards and upwards from here.

Dunowen Point (+4pts) was a non runner. Fourth Estate (+5pts) was second behind a clearly well handicapped horse. He was beaten five lengths staying on from the last. It was an encouraging performance and a step up to 3 miles might bring out more improvement.

Might have one more late tomorrow. 9pts in play.

Alelchi Inios (+7.50pts) won but 2 non runners made a mess of his price. As I haven't a clue what the rule 4 was, I see he was 1/2 after the second defection so that's the price I'll take. Ourmanmassini (+1pt) was a non runner so nothing lost or gained. Thespis Of Icaria (-1pt) finished 3rd but nothing for me as I had him to win. Rior (-1pt) was backed into 9/2 but came home fifth. He stayed on well though and should have a good chance next time out. Railway Storm (-1pt) was going well until two mistakes down the side knocked him out of the race just as he was getting into it. With a clear round next time he'll go close.

Court Minstrel (+13.13pts) won nicely at Cheltenham and looks like a novice chaser to follow for the season. The Romford Pele (+13pts) was impressive in a six length win, the drift out to 9/4 adds a bit more profit than expected to our winnings. Benabane Head (-1pt) fell 4 out in the handicap chase, at that stage it didn't look like he would win and at the moment he might be a bit high in the handicap. Sky Khan (-2pts) finished a never nearer 8th. He started at odds of 15/2 so he was well fancied having been backed in from 16's. He travelled well but a mistake 3 out put paid to his chances. A step up in trip would suit him well next time out. Baily Dusk (-1pt) was a disappointment and was pulled up.

Madame Chiang (+13pts) won the Fillies and Mares stakes at Ascot after drifting to 12/1. She got a little bit of luck, after Chiquita veered dramatically when looking certain to win but in the end Madame Chiang won by 2 lengths with the soft ground bringing out the best in her. Ruler Of The World (-4pts) was a major disappointment in the Champion Stakes, finishing last in the end. Bold Thady Quill (-1pt) ran a solid race but just wasn't good enough in the end and finished up 11th. He could still have a big handicap on soft ground in him. Astracad (-1pt) faded into 4th late on and will probably need to drop down the handicap a bit before he goes in again. Alfie Spinner (+12pts) ran really well to finish 3rd in the 3m 1f handicap chase at Cheltenham. He was sent off 12/1 but just found 2 to good. This run should bring him on and he's really interesting next time out. Another good day with a nice winner and nice place. Tomorrow's picks will be up in a few.

Absolutely zero returns from those few. Parlour Games (-2pts) lost out by 4 lengths in a novice hurdle at Kempton. He would be interesting if put into a handicap next time out. Ulis De Vassy (-1pt) made 2 blunders at a crucial stage of the race before staying on well to almost grab 3rd. A step up in trip will suit him next time out and he is undoubtedly very well handicapped. Dazzling Suzie (-1pt) ran disappointingly at Cork and was pulled up. Lots Of Memories (-4pts) lost out by a neck in his first start as a novice chaser. When he's stepped up to 3 miles over fences he should be a serious prospect. Hard to know what to make of Who's Cross (-1pt). Moon Dice (-1pt) was flat enough at Naas, he's really well handicapped and might want a bigger field to show his best. On Tuesday at Exeter Fuzzy Logic (-2pts)finished down the field in a dramatic race with the leader pulling himself up in the final 50 yards and he handed the race to the horse in second. According To Trev (-2pts) finished 2nd beaten by Court By Surprise, I thought the winner was well handicapped so According To Trev should be winning soon as should the third home, Tullamore Dew. Today Molly's A Diva (-1pt) went down by a neck. If a few of them necks were the other way around I might be posting some sort of win but you can't win them all.

Whats Up Woody (+3pts) finished 3rd, he led inside the final furlong but weakened in the last 150 yards and lost 2 places, at least he held on for the place. Susquehanna River (-2pts) was beaten 14 lengths into second, good to see him back in form and he can score soon. Tenby Jewel (-1pt) was a major disappointment finishing only 4th. Strain Of Fame (-1pt) fell when leading over the last at Thurles, sort of sums up my luck of late. Descaro (-2pts) also finished well down the field. Moss Park (-3pts) travelled really well at Chepstow but was just outstayed by a well backed rival, I'd imagine he will come on a ton for the run and a step down in trip may help him. Edgardo Sol (+4.5pts) hit most of the first 10 fences and he powered home to finish a distant second behind the veteran Wishful Thinking. I'll happily take the place money. Burton Port (-2pts) was disappointing in a distant 4th, the drift from early morning said it all really. He has a big handicap in him this season so is one to follow, when the money is down he will pounce.
