Some effort by Italy at the moment, France should really be defending better though.

So much for the new France, they look like they couldn't care less.

Delighted, Italy getting reward for French headlessness.

    Come on Italy

That should make a good game of it.

How passive is the French defence!

Great stuff from Italy but they have so much time and space.

    Dreadful from France, amateur defending.

Jackman laying into the French coaching now, he really has some great inside information.

I was just gonna say the same. Eyebrow raising really

Better for us for France to lose her or get their act together and win?

Typical first day performance by Italy. By game 5 they'll be back to shipping 60 against Wales.

This is great from Italy - capitalising on France's carelessness.

Beaut of a kick from Garcia.

Traditionally Italy will give away silly penalties to let the opposition back in the game. Good start from them in defending the lead.

Italy actually playing the better all round rugby.
Need to be quicker to their rucks though

Parisse again. Having an incredible game.

Has there been a better Six Nations number eight in the Pro era than Parisse?

He really is a class act.

Italy showing no sign of flagging.

The French look worse than they did in the WC somehow

More or less explaining the process by which the head coach candidates had to present their vision for the job. Noves pitched to the FFR that he intended to use Federation guys on his staff. Now that he has the job, he has some coaches that have never done the job they are doing now before, at any level, i.e., his backs (or defence?) coach has never done that role before.

Jackman also just said there, that if Bernard Laporte gets the Presidency of FFR, which he is in the running for, Noves may walk, such is the bitterness between them.
