    Hi,

Can anyone clarify for me how much DA is paid out if someone earns between 220 and 350 euro a week doing part-time work? I find it unclear on the website. Here is the link: http://www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/1084_Illness-disability-and-caring.aspx
Afaik if someone earns over 300 they are entitled to a personal rate of 188? Which is the full amount. Or if they earn less, they get less. It's slightly confusing.

    Thanks.

The first 120 is dismissed as means testable income. Everything over that is taken into account up to 422.50. So in your case, on the lower end, 220 per week, 120 disregarded, the other 100 is then assessed at 50%, which in that case is 50euro, that then gets deducted form your welfare, so, on 220 a week you would get 220 salary and 138 DA.
