Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    They are all more or less the same. Dual core Atom N2600 processor, 1 GB RAM, 320 GB HDD and Windows 7 Starter.

    I have three ASUS netbooks myself, never any problems.

    If you decide to get one of the ASUS, make sure it's a X101CH. According to the ASUS website, the X101 only has an Atom N455 (which is cr@p) and an 8 GB "SSD", although the Argos website says it has an N2600 and a 320 GB HDD.

    Personally, I find a white keyboard easier to work with in poor ambient light than a black one.

    cheers dude very helpfull info, just a quick Q will i have no problem downloading and streaming movies from a torrent and watching them on 1 of these, also as i work and travel abroad and i usually watch football on a subscribed (LOF) half dodgy website should i be ok to watch this?

    Again i don't know much about them cheers.

    720p (which already exceeds the 1024x600 resolution) and 1080p will play perfectly well, although at 1080p you'll hear the fan quite a lot.

    Correction, I believe the X101CH is fanless. ;)

    Looking for a netbook myself. Its for travelling with work.

    That Asus in argos any good? I want to keep it to about 1kg so that pretty much rules out the 11" netbooks.

    Any suggestions apart for the Argos netbooks?
