Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Student nurse and maintenance grant

    Hi all,
    Not sure if anyone here has experience with this, but I am a student nursing going into 4th year and as part of the degree all final year student nurses are on a 9 month paid internship from january. have qualified for a maintenance grant every previous academic year.
    I was just wondering, will this effect my qualification for the grant, and if so will I get a lesser amount of the grant.
    Any experience with this is very welcome,

    Hi Laura scouring the net looking for an answer to your question as my daughter is a 3rd year student nurse. As you have now gone into 4th year do you know the answer now? Worried on her behalf as internship doesn't start until January so hoping you might be able to clarify so we can get finances in order for next year in case she is not entitled to the grant.

    It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

    Hi,
    Sorry for the delay in reply. To clarify, I did qualify for the maintenance grant, similar to previous years! The internship didn't affect my application .
    Thankfully-Weight off my shoulders! :)
