An unlock for the 4s onwards may be some time away. Would a dual sim work if I got one? Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks, I removed Auxo and things have been fine, just the odd time the time vanishes from the top, not sure if this in an intelliscreenx issue or Aloud.

Me too, bought quite a few apps and rather than trouble shoot i just deleted them. Really only jailbroke for intelli and sparrow push. Aloud was a nice find, great for when you're out in the rain with earphones on, tells you who's calling, texing etc.

lads trying to remember the name of a tweak, that alters the default ios alert, the little revolving bar you get at the top sometimes.

This tweak, changed or should I say fixed the animation to how it should be, was a drop down notification that also pushed the screen down, and didn't cut into the UI as the default alert does...

ring any bells ?

ive done as much searching as i can on this and have j/b'ed before
but it was years ago, so a little reminder would be great

Im on 4.3.3 BB 04.10.01 iphone 4,
ive done pkgbackups and have all my blobs

is it one for redsnow? custom ipsw?
anything important to know, will my baseband mess me up
if it doesnt go well? what is the best version ios to go for?

I assume you are trying to preserve this baseband, for an unlock?

i dont need an unlock at the moment
is it as easy to preserve b/b as upgrade it?
i suppose it would be no harm to have that option in the future
if i wanted to move provider

im on sim only and wont be getting upgrades to the handset
so i'll have it til it dies!

That baseband can't be unlocked. Only the 01.59.00 can

Just update in iTunes. As I've said above that baseband ant be unlocked so no point in preserving it

There's been several updates to auxo and seems to be flawless now..
I also installed an app caleld Zephyr which links into auxo and eliminates using the home button for the multitasking etc...costs about €3 but well worth it..
definitely worth checking out if you're jailbroken

you simply swipe up etc and this brings up your open apps...very very nice

Yeah, waiting to buy it. I had to delete the latest update of Auxo as the memory leak was still sending my phone into safe mode. However A3Tweaks, the makers of Auxo, said there's a new update due this week so I'll hang on for that. I can't wait to try Zephyr.

last thing...i have a gevey i never used
if i preserve and go to 6.1.2 the gevey would work
if i wanted to change to o2 for example

just bought a 2nd hand iphone 3gs and restored it but im not able to activate it now, im just stuck at that activation page every time i turn it on, its on the o2 network, anybody got any ideas on what i should do?

Maybe this is for you,just make sure you know what you want as an end result.
At the end of the day you can mostly restore it again.

How can I deactivate sbs settings window coming down when I swipe down for the notification centre. I've had a look through activator and can't figure it out.

I have sbs settings in notifications already so just don't need it and would appreciate advice to get rid of the drop down sbs menu.

Go to activator and tap anywhere, scroll down to swipe down from top and remove sbsettings. I have it set to drop down if I swipe to the side in the status bar

I got Bridge the other day. Pretty great for downloading straight to your phone. Also itransmission is great if you want to take torrents straight to your phone too.
