yerrah that yoke is completely inaccurate as it has no record of the thunder here I posted above.
On that basis it must be missing many more in Ireland.
    It's missed mothmans above also

    Shows your strikes here

And on the Netweather detector, they just take a few minutes to update.

You can zoom in on the UKMO detector, just click map and lightning. A couple of strikes just off the Wicklow coast, one around Drogheda and one near Cork

Haven't seen or heard anything in Cork, despite some strikes showing up on the Icelandic lightening page. I'd imagine it's coming from this cell to my south west

That strike was close to Youghal, so just about in Co. Cork. :P

On closer inspection, yeah you're right. Too many buildings to my east to get a decent view of that one. Ah well, the day is still young!

Looks as if there is something interesting North of Dublin

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,778 ✭✭✭✭ninebeanrows

Cell just above here, 4 rumbles so far.

    Heavy rain.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 8,633 ✭✭✭darkman2

Showers getting that bit more organised to the northwest of Dublin. Might be interesting in the next hour or two for the Dublin/Meath areas.

is it to get any worse later tonight ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,797 ✭✭✭✭Larbre34

Viewed from Dun Laoghaire, lightning visible in the cell moving out to sea from Portmarnock / Howth. Whole cell is about 4km wide, Aircraft still passing behind it on final for DUB

No precip here as yet today on Dublin's Riviera!

Thunder now in Waterford, about loud and on and off.

Heard 3 rumbles so far, and rain starting to pound.

    Cloud is grey as hell.

Nope...inland convection will stop this evening and showers die out. Mostly dry night. :)
