Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Hello everyone, I am looking for an online shop where I could get "real looking" pistols for short film. I was thinking about airsoft guns but I am not sure about the law.

    Students in our local college got them from someone illegally.

    Went on to shoot there film, during the filming one scene required them to stage a kidnapping, the chose to do it in the carpark of the student residences.

    after a couple of takes an armed response unit turned up and the were all taken down to the station. the main reason they got in trouble was the possession of replica firearms.

    Use airsoft pistols BUT GET PERMISSION FROM THE GARDA. This is not hard to get if you show them the courtesy of going in to the station and explaining what you are doing and where you intend doing it. Permission Permission Permission.
    I have supplied replicas for some filming and gotten the permission so if you need any info give me a shout.

    Just a note, fake/replica/airsoft are all covered under the same laws concerning RIF'S.
