Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    A lot of people are happy on welfare with their council house. What about you? Do you mind people doing working and claiming. Its happening with every trademan around Ireland. Its disgraceful.

    I'm on the dole at the moment and coupled with child benefit I earn about 60k per year, so am pretty happy tbh.

    I'm self employed and a trade and I'm happy with what I get
    The dole only pays about 300 for a couple right

    Couldn't live off that with much fun

    Huge amount of assumption here. Massive. From happy welfare claiming council house dwellers (they should be miserable Godammit!) to dishonest tradespeople.

    How many do you know personally and have proof of them claiming while working? Not gossip or hearsay, but proof?

    all on the dole, far too much money, go out and get a job, lots of em about, I pay taxes for these lazy scroungers, young wans pushin prams with kids in em, scumbags on da streets drinkin dutch gold, to be honest I cannot think of any more, but suffice to say I think I have covered all topics related to this thread. could a passing mod lock this thread now and lay it to rest. thanks.

    Im confused

    If people are happy on welfare...then what harm if there happy and not harming anyone...it's not exactly millionaires lifestyle the dole...let them at it :)


    As for people working and signing I dont mind it atal as they are usually significant cheaper than liget traders who often do cash jobs anyway

    That being siad if a lad was 100% above boards and being regularly undercut by Lads working and signing I'd understand them being pissed off

    Though I would Rather see people work and signing than being forced onto jonbridge schemes
