Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Hi guys,


    I did my Leaving Cert back in 2006, and did a year of college at LIT in 07/08, but then dropped out as the course wasn't for me.


    I'm now interested in studying a Journalism course in London. I know the deadline has passed for initial applications, but that most Universities/Colleges still accpet applications until June 30th.


    I just want to know does anyone know what the Irish equivalent would be if the course requires 2 A Levels and 3 GCSE's?


    I e-mailed the college in question on Friday, but as of yet have received no reply, but I understand as this is probably a very busy time for them.

    The Leaving Cert in itself covers it - but as regards the specifics of how many As, Bs, Cs etc. you need - only the college can really answer that.

    This is the UCAS equivalency chart (assuming your course has a UCAS points requirement...?)

    Thanks for that Pow Wow. About half an hour after making my original post, I did find a tariff point calculator online, and it has been a help.
