Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

can anyone recommend a GUI based software tool to scan windows 7 pcs on a network please? I am looking for something to check what adobe reader/java/flash player versions are on the windows 7 machines..

Network Auditing software is plenty. If you're looking for something free, have a look at Open-AudIT or OCS Inventory.

Or spiceworks - it can do a helluva lot more than just tell you what version apps are on the machines, it's well worth a look. It can be a helpdesk for you too, it's great to be able to connect helpdesk tickets to specific machines.
