what lid is that you have on the back ?

    Its a Pegasus.

They were not in the country in 2007, only just starting to import. I got my Nissan dealer to ring them up and send one over. I'm a firm believer in, if a jeep is a pick-up it should look like a pick. Its my 2nd Navara. Great job. Will probably go for another one (when it starts raining money)

The lid is 2 stage. It lies down on the body, but also pulls fully up, level with the roof. There are 4 locking pins on the scissor arms holding it in place. The company give a guarantee of 300+kg load limit at 60mph without collapsing. All in it cost €2800. Seen as how the Nissan one was €1800 and had 2 chicken leg struts holding it up the choice was an easy one.

When i bought it Cartman they were only new, so like all things they most likely have come down in price since.

Shouldn't be as expensive as when i bought.

Very nice Slidey. Just been reading in Earthmovers that Scania have upped the power stakes overtaking Volvo, they now do a 730hp model for heavy haulage.

Just back from a Military show at the Curragh, will post up some heavy metal later.

    Heard that alright.

There isn't many wedding convoys in Ireland that could boast of that kind of BHP. 660, 620, 580 & 520.

The bride went in the 620 from the church to the reception!

Had the pleasure of being in the company of this today whilst on demonstration very impressive machine and at circa 32k GBP will be a cheaper alternative to a mog. With locking front centre and rear differential along with low range box they are extremely capable. Iveco daily 4x4

In the line up of vehicles in the Curragh above (post no. 146), does anyone know what he vehicle on the extreme left is? It seems to have a UN flag on it.
Looks beautiful, like a desert jeep.

It's an ex Irish Army Acmat VLRA (built in France). Originally bought to do the same job as my 101 as a gun tractor, they were last used as a gunbus for patrolling in Somalia.
