I am currently unemployed and claiming social welfare. I am considering going to australia to see if there is work over there. Im a teacher and I would like to get some work in that field over there but im not fussy. The question I have is, can I go over to australia for 3 months or less to look for a job and if I dont find a job can I return to Ireland and start claiming social welfare again?

My worry is if I go to australia and cant find work and have to come back to Ireland and find that I cant even claim social welfare anymore. Can I go abroad for 3 months or less and be able to claim social welfare on my return?

any information regarding this will be really helpful,

    thanks

Of course you can claim again but it will be a new claim so you could be waiting a while for it.
