If you had a choice would you put a bolton defender or Man city one in for next game week, Also which player ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

If its Richards I'd prob bench him, that's what Im doing. Too much chance of a 1 pointer. If its Kompany or Clichy I'd leave them in, they should keep a clean sheet.

Stuck between Tevez and Aguero. Either could have a field day at Wolves but on current luck I'll go and pick the wrong one...

You go with Aguero, at least one of us will be happy then! :D

My B-team which i started in GW6 is in 18th position for that GW,now that may not be much to most but i am well chuffed with it,too far behind to win though..........

RopeyFC now 12th in the world and 1st in Ireland. (I don't know if you know, Dazzler.... but I'm watching you :P )

Right.... so I'll probably have 4 DGWers at the way this is going :P But I'm happy with the 4 I will have. I might take a 4-pointer to get a 5th but only if someone sticks out that must be had. I have Friedel, VDV, Cisse and Miyaichi. I'm half thinking of getting an Everton midfielder (Osman or Pienaar).

    It's a mere 33 points from 12th to No. 1

There's only 4 weeks left, but that's doable, I haven't even entertained the notion of actually winning the thing though, jesus, it'd be incredible

The guy whose team name is Drogba was behind me for ages, then two good weeks popped him right up to the top, the precedent is there

Ian Harte will be a cert next season if hes getting a game at reading.

    We're all with ya Dazzler

Any worry the lads above might have Aguero AND Tevez?

Harte, Lambert and a Southampton full-back are very much on my radar for next season. If Harte is starting and priced at anything under 5.5m he'll definitely be in my team.

Whats Harte's stats for this season?

Harte was too slow 15 years ago, imagine him up against the likes of Walcott or Lennon now.

Always did have a sweet left foot though.

If only you had the internet ;)

3 goals in 29 games this season according to Wikipedia.

Not sure I'd pay too much for that kinda form. Dunno how many assists he has.

Thinking of getting Tevez in for Van Persie and Dempsey in for Sess for this week.
Have a wildcard for next week, so I think its worth the risk.

Don't think they will, I'd be pretty happy having RVP vs Chelsea and Cisse vs Stoke though

    One city striker is enough

    Do you have Silva?

    Nope

The reason for the upsurge in City's form (imo) has been Tevez. So much of the play that was channeled through Silva will now go through Tevez, hence the resurgence

Kind of like a different version of Cisse coming in and stealing Ba's points

Great result in the Champions League tonight for owners of Arsenal players

Chelsea will hardly field their first eleven after that will they?

Even if they do, they'll be distracted considering Abramovich's obsession

Do you reckon VP for captain next week might be a good shout?

    what are your captaincy options?

Cisse, RVP, Aguero/Tevez are all good shouts this week, Rooney too

    I'm going Aguero

I'd have RVP below Aguero/Tevez and Cisse though

Yeah I have Cisse. Have it on him at the moment but might change it to VP

  • Registered Users Posts: 667 ✭✭✭DazzlerIE

Both are good options, Cisse would edge it for me though

im finding it extremely hard to pick my best 11.. subs are all so strong and really hard to call some of these games next week.

    so far team is

    Krul,
    Caulker, Evans, Richards
    Sigurdson, Valencia, Bale, McClean
    Aguero (c), Cisse, RVP

Subs : Vorm, Walcott Cahill, Vermaelen

  • Registered Users Posts: 486 ✭✭Juxtapose

gone for walcott and verm in for caulker and mcclean.

despite the nicer fixtures they are still more attacking threat than the other 2.

Same for me, i have a front 8 of:

    Siggy,Myachi,Valencia,Van der Vaart, Mata

    Yakubu, Rooney and RVP.

Any suggestions on who to leave out?

Hmm, I think I'd start Wallcott ovr McClean tbh. Walcott will be up against a Chelsea team who will have one eye on a stunning KO of Barcelona.

Very tough choice. It's between Myachi, Mata and VDV. My gut is saying Myachi. He's played 73, 45 and 13 mins in his last three games. There is a chance he might get less minutes in his two games compared to the other two in their one game each.

Was thinking that alright, and thats before i even make my sub as had contemplated valencia to dempsey as im chasing a lead so its all or nothing sort of thing.

Cheers for the advice all the same
