Hey I'm thinking of taking up agricultural economics as an extra subject for the Leaving Cert. Is there anybody on here studying it who knows what the best textbook to get is?

Ag Economics is done by a very small number of people so you mightn't get too much of a response. Try doing a search for previous threads, here are some examples:

Try the other threads, there is an ag economics teacher who has posted here in the past.

But the facts as I know them:
    • Only offered in Cork and Dublin (that I know of)
    • There is a project involved
    • You must have a teacher to grade it/sign off on it (like ag science)
    • There is no textbook as less than 100 (sometimes fewer than 50) students sit the exam every year.

If you live in one of these areas and can find a school that offers it, then see how you get on.
