    Makes a change. ;)

I've to go offline for a while; Saibh, you stay here and continually guess guesses until I'm back.

I expect the mystery will soon be revealed.

    Yep. Tony Danza it is.

Extra credit for anyone who can unravel the genius of my "Born in the USA" clue.

Oh, how did I miss that? Honestly, I've a head like a Saibh sometimes.

    Simple.

"Born in the USA", off the album of the same name, is a song by Bruce Sprinsteen, aka "The Boss", often misinterpreted throughout its life, most famously by Reagan's campaign team, due to its anthemic feel.

Tony Danza was the star of TV's hit show "Who's the Boss?", which ran from 1984 to 1992 (you can, of course, catch reruns on satellite). In a clever role reversal Danza plays a live-in housekeeper employed by a successful career woman; this was quite controversial, or at least ground breaking, in the 80s, and lead to the question "Who's the Boss?". And the answer is, clearly, the employer. So actually the answer would be Judith Light, who played Tony's boss.

Did you even think this through, javaboy?

Well done Hoss. Of course it's easy to connect the dots when you already know what the jigsaw's supposed to look like. Hindsight's 20 20. :D
