    Irish - 76% B
    Geography 88% A
    History 92% A
    Science 92% A

    Maths - 79% B
    English - 78% B
    French - 70% B
    Irish - 73% B
    Geography - 85% A
    History - 74% B
    Science - 73% B
    CSPE - 89% A
    Home Ec - 81% B
    Art - 69% C

All HL, 2 A's, 7 B's and 1 C. I was over the moon with French, always my worst subject, I managed to scrape a B! Delighted. My Art result pissed me off because my teacher had been off on maternity leave for the past year, and I'd been getting up in the 90s while she was gone, and now I'm back down to a C now she's back -_- Was also disappointed with English because that's normally my best subject, until I found out I got the highest in my class lol. Idek where I lost marks though.

Relied pretty damn heavily on the Mock spoilers thread, especially for Science and History, regretting it cos I don't know I'll cope for the real thing now :(

Quite upset with some of the marking from Examcraft. A couple of fits were had.

Irish 79% (B) Incorrect marking on Letter and general dislike of me
    Maths Paper 1 98% (A) So happy!
Maths Paper 2 87% (A) Not too shabby
Science 73% (B) Haven't got script back, 10 failed though, so quite happy.

No attempt marks were given in Maths, so nearly everyone's exam had to be recorrected. No acknowledgement of the huge mistake in Exam craft Irish Paper 2 Poetry section.

Speaking of which, is anyone else being hit with new mocks from the other bar codes?

    All Higher

    English 75% B

    History 93% A

    Science 84% B
    CSPE 94% A
    Business 90% A
Still waiting for Religion, German and TG.

Now I have to do it all over again or better
I had Examcraft and found some of them to be much easier than the past papers

  • Registered Users Posts: 169 ✭✭xfabgalx

    I failed maths :L

But I'm in a better school now and I have a good teacher that knows what she's doing!

    All higher:

    English - 68
    Maths - 27
    French - wasn't corrected because I moved
    Geography - 73
    Science- 57
History - 55 - didn't have course finished in old school
    CSPE - 95
Irish - moved schools don't know something in late 60s I was told
Home ec - 76 with mock cookery and 79 without
    Art - don't know

Everyone did really well in maths here! Well done! I'm more of a language and history person. :D
But I feel improvement already! My teacher was talking to the class about study and motivation and she said some people's best is an A, some a B, or a C. You know yourselves what you can get. As long as you do everything you possibly can then you can say to yourself in September you did your best even if it's a C. She said she'd be jumping up and down even if its a C or an A.
I love my maths teacher, she's unreal!

Hopefully everyone is studying by now and don't leave it to Easter break, start NOW. You can do it!!!

Start studying now, I didn't study at all for mocks and thats what I got, I got Irish back... 38!! That was the kick in the arse I needed to start studying.. for all subjects.

I hope to get all A's and B's with the exception of HOPEFULLY a C in Irish.

You say you find English hard.. I got an A without any study but it's all essays's and stuff it comes natural to some.. I find Irish hard so I bought Revise - wise ... You should buy a revision book for the subjects you find hard.

Yes i hope to get all A's and B's but i dont know about English  How do you structure your answers in the reading section and how did you study for all of paper 2

I didn't study much as such.
    - I learned my R+J, Roll of thunder and Poems as we went along and thats it.

My first year english book was great and it influenced my answers now.

    PQE Point, Qoute, explain.

    - state your point,
    - back it up with a quote,
    - develope the answer.

It's important you write a lot too, for the reading comps on paper 1 I wrote a page for each question.. but dont even try to waffle. Not looks worse than that.

The PQE answers ain't that bad i find it hard to use big words to get the good marks :/ Thanks for all your help anyway :)

You'll do fine! As long as you put in the effort examiners know some people just struggle with art, its not about self expression really go ask your teacher what the criteria is like what exactly they are grading you on and what you can improve on you can break it down into little elements you can improve on and a student who can show they know what is being sought by the examiners is going to impress!

got four 84%'s so im just going to call them A's.. haha :)

    So I got;

    english: 70% B
    irish: 73% B
    maths: 59% C
history: 96% A (delighted with that!!)
    geograhy: 84 'A'
    CSPE: 96% A
    german: 84 'A'
    science: 68% C
    home ec: 84% 'A'
    Business: 93 A (delighted!:D)

    sp overall i got '6' A's, 2 B's and 2 C's...

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,948 ✭✭✭Pen Rua

    I've just got a few back;
    • English - 69%; C. (I am happy with this, though so close to a B. My teacher commented that all the exams were marked a bit too tough...)
    • CSPE - 91%; A. (CPSE... 'nuff said.)
    • Geography - 89%; A. (Delighted!)
    • Business - 93%; A. (Really happy with this. My Accountancy got full marks in both questions on Paper II)
    • Irish - 83%; B. (I am so happy with this! I thought I got a highish C to a low B. I was not expecting such a high B at all!)

That's all I've gotten back thus far. No word on the rest...

  • Registered Users Posts: 117 ✭✭dazzadazza

I only did a few because i was sick for most of them. All higher except irish as im Italian.
English 70 B (it was marked so tough that they were considering remarking; no impression marks were awarded meaning that she only gave marks if your point was on the marking scheme if not you got 0 even if your point was relevant).
maths 66 C confident i can get an A as i didnt really study for it.
    Irish 83 B
    Geography 85 A
    History 84 B nearly an A :P
Art 54 D i drew up to the knees on the model so i didnt really answer the questions and therefore i was heavily penalized. Guess i wont be making that mistake again.

Mine were dreadful to be honest but I may as well put them up...

    English-74%-Delighted because I didn't study
    Irish-52%-Dissapointed but I think I could get a B in the JC.
Maths-32%-Don't have the course finished and our teacher said it was difficult.
History-83%-Thought I would of gotten an A, really disappointed.
Geography-60%-No idea why, I got all As in class tets and Summer tests.
    Science-72%-Very happy with that
French-66% and I wrote two lines for the postcard and an opening for the letter
    German-65% but we re did a re-do and I got 77%
    Music-52%-Again really disappointed.
CSPE-68%. No one in the year got an A... Our opinions were wrong supposedly.

Honestly, really disappointed with them. I want to bring English, CSPE, History and possibly Geo to an A. German, French, Music and Science to Bs. Irish to a C and possibly a C in Maths but I'd be happy with a D.

Mine are awful compared to all of your results. :(

    I got;

    English-A-Happy
    Irish-E-very dissapointed
Maths-D-Not complaining, we did not finish the course or do any revision and I didn't study so...
    Science-C-Happy enough, didn't study a tap, should get High B or A in Jine(after study:P)
Geography-B-Dissapointed with, should have got an A
Business-C-Dissapointed, but did no study so..Hopefully A in June
French-B-OUTRAGED. Did brilliant in everything except written. I got 13/30 in postcard and 24/50 on letter, I answered all the points(well) and added extra! My teacher said I easily should have atleast gotten 25/30 and 40/50
Woodwork-C-Long Q's didn't go my way!! Was gonna do the TG one but the teachers took away the drawing equipment, so I was forced to answer a Q I knew nothing about.
TG-B-Dissapointed, should get an A in June.

If anyone has any Irish tips that'd be great.
