Can anyone give me some pointers on how best you use ICT for teaching and learning? And also for administration and planning? I just want to make sure I am making optimum use of ICT.

It would be easier if you told us what you are doing currently?

Thats just it! I'm wondering if I'm missing out on something wonderful... Some of the programmes I use include Microsoft Word, Works, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, Power Point and ePortal is a great tool in terms of admin. I hear that Popplet is great. I'm a bit unsure as to what else I can be doing?

Sorry I should have clarified a bit better. How exactly are you using the programmes at the moment? So many programs are good but is how you use them currently that can tell us if we can advise on alternative uses

We use Google Drive in school. It's a great way to keep your notes backed up and easy to find. And we share folders so we're not all making out the same notes and inspectors like it!

classroom.google.com is a great new free resource for schools, like facebook to a point, can put up resources kids have access can comment on things etc.

I love edmodo as a similar resource to google classroom though I'm waiting on a school account to give google a proper chance at it. I've been using edmodo successfully for two years now. Its particularly handy for groups that are partially or totally computer based e.g. LC music, ECDL. We've also got ipads in the junior classes and they use it a lot
