Moving from Writing Comics to Writing for Screen, best course of action?

    Hi,

    I've been working in the comics business for a few years now, but I'm not ready to move on to other things.

    Would anyone have any advice about writing for screen, and how to get your stuff into production?

    My recommendation: write as many screenplays as you can. Don't write one and spend years in development trying to get it made. Chances are it wont. The reality is 95% of scripts don't end up on the screen. So if you believe you have some talent, some good stories and something to say, keep knocking them out and sending them out. You are more likely then to get hired to re-write something that's already in development. The alternative, of course, is to go out and shoot them yourself. This is more do-able now than at any time in cinema history.
