I note that IKEA are only offering free securing kits if you live in USA, Canada or Mexico

I bought a chest of drawers from IKEA 3/4 years ago. It came with a plate for securing it to the wall.

So products that are advised as per the instructions to be secured to a wall with the brackets included weren't secured to the wall and tipped over. Its just scaremongering. Follow the instructions and you'll have no issues.

The "kits" were shipped with the units day 1. I suspect if you need one you'll get it at the customer service desk.

This is people not reading instructions + having ill disciplined kids combining to a horrific end rather than being any fault of IKEA.

And let's not forget that they live in a country where there are more lawyers than in the rest of the world combined.

These are now available FOC in Ireland for anyone who's lost one:

Alternatively, just ask someone with lots of IKEA stuff and no kids, they probably have a box in their shed full of them...
