yeah, i know! I seem to be the only person who get's consistent service from Vodafone. It's usually around that during the day, and about 3Mbs late at night.

    Anybody have Meteor mobile broadband?
In this entire thread no one posted a Meteor speed test.
Heard they have great speeds (in excess of 4mbs) due to the low amount of people on their network :) low congestion in some places :)
So can anybody post a Meteor speed test? I'd like to see a comparison :)

Ive used it via tethering on my iphone and ive got speeds of 1mbps - 2.6mbps (1mb to 1.4mb being the max for the most part) with horrible latency of 397 average

Been like that most of the night, get the odd spike in speed but mostly it cuts out completely.

No issue with logging into anything thankfully.

Was in contact with vodafone and they are looking into it, no 3g signal at all now, been like this for a week now, must be a serious fault.

Still no Meteor tests!!! These guys are getting a great service :)

    http://forums.meteor.ie/index.php?showtopic=677

Wonder if the majority of people are?

  • Registered Users Posts: 214 ✭✭Spooky1666

Hi guys. I do apologize mods if it is against the rules to post this up since there already is a midband speed test thread but I felt the need for it as there is not 1 Meteor BBTG speed test result on that thread. If it is against the rules then feel free to move/close it but if it isn't I am wondering what kind of speeds are people getting on this service. I understand it's midband but I heard many people are getting a great service with them. These people certainly are http://forums.meteor.ie/index.php?showtopic=677
and so is my friend. He says it's due to barley anyone being on their network. Anyways if you do have a speed test I'd be glad if you could post it up.
    Thanks :D

    getting this at the mo....

    895281523.png

but like all things in life it does vary....and depends on location location location etc. But in my case it achieves far better speeds than my old Ripwave ever did, usually max download of 0.60mb when I was lucky.

I'm lucky to be near a mast.....but even so I get quite a lot of disconnections (at times) but still think its brilliant...two months on anyway.
