I'm stuck trying to decide on what to go for. The GE60 was an option too

The problem with the GE60 is the lead time from Komplett

I ended up having to cancel my order because it looked like it wasn't going to come into stock for a while. Ended up ordering a GE70 instead.

The Y580 could be a monster, however. I didn't get it because I dislike glossy screens

That lenovo is very tempting. I wonder how hard it would be to switch keys around to UK format. I've enough trouble typing as it is.

I've noticed this alright. The GE60 has been showing more stock in two or three days for the last couple of weeks. Did you consider the N56 by any chance?

Yes. Was worried about the speakers trapping dirt and the like, actually. My current laptop has a large grill area on the top and it's a dirt and dust trap.

Gaming performance was a criteria for my selection, and the GDDR5 version of the GT650 is supposed to perform better. Someone will mock me for that, I'm sure. (I understand it might also be possible to fit an mSATA SSD, which might be nice to have eventually)

However, it's in stock and is a damn fine machine. Buy it and be happy.
