Great news Red! Wishing you a happy & healthy pregnancy x

DL sorry to hear A is feeling jealous but it's it normal Hun! I agree with How Strange's post! I found the 1st week or 2 at home very hard with N at the start, even though he was great with E from the start he wanted to be held and cuddled from me and I seemed to be constantly feeding E and I was so sore.. It reminded me so much of myself when you posted! What I did was I'd feed E then give him to my OH to burp and he'd also lift N up to me and he would sit beside me for a few mins (he's very active and never really sits still!) and then he'd be happy for another little while.. I used to sit on the floor too and play with him in between feeds.. You sound like you're doing everything perfect Hun it just takes a few weeks to get settle into everything and A will get used to it, just let her touch and kiss/ pat tickle your new baby as much as she likes so she feels part of it too & involve her as much as possible like showing her how to rub S's back when burping and she won't feel as jealous.. At least that what's worked for us! My biggest advise though is to get into a routine as quickly as possible! I know it's very hard with a newborn & it's hard work getting there but it all gets so much easier when you do! Try not to worry too much though, you're doing a great job under hard circumstances with a toddler and recovering from surgery! I hope my post helps x

God girls, I'm in awe if you coping with two kids. In run tagged just from one! I could do with your advice. I bfed for 5 weeks and moved exclusively to fornula as it suited my son better as he had reflux. He's now on medication for that and it seems well under control. He used to wake every 3 to 3.5 hours for a bottle but now at 11 weeks he's beginning to wake every 2.5 hours. He sleeps between 4 to 6 hours each day. He drinks about 7-8 bottles a day varying in size from 4oz to 6.5oz. At night the most he would drink is 3.5 to 4oz. Sometimes he might only have 2oz so he can't be starving. I've tried soothing him when he wakes with a soother but it doesn't work. Is there anything I can do to reduce the number of times he's waking. I'm just exhausted with him.

Yellow hen he could be going through a growth spurt or a developmental leap. I always noticed my son slept badly during a leap. Look up the wonder weeks. There's also an iPhone app. It was a revelation to me when I first found out about developmental leaps. It explained so much about his general temperament during those times.

I went to the Pharmacy today to buy Karvol and Snuffle Babe for the kids as they have colds and its all off the market apparently the factory that produces it in China has burnt down and as of yet not rebuilding.. Vicks is only suitable from 2+ so if ya have any make sure ya use it wisely! There is Olbus which is kinda like Karvol in droplet form but no where near as good but that's all that's available now! Gutted! Have a half a pot of Snuffle Babe left.. Thought you'd all like to know!

Yellow Hen I agree with How Strange! Sounds like a growth spurt! He should settle back down after a few days x

When I was over last month I couldn't find Karvol anywhere and was told the same thing.
Thankfully my mother found it somewhere and bought me a few boxes.

I googled wonder weeks (had never heard the term before). It's actually really interesting. According to that he's due a leap around 11.5 to 12.5 weeks so it could be that. Going to try persevere with giving him the soother when he wakes tonight. I'm tired of running for bottles that he only takes one tenth of. God, breast feeding was so much easier!!!

I dont know but my first had reflux with both boob and bottle and she used to wake for 1 oz per hour unitl she was about 12 weeks. I'd add the medicine to the 1st oz and then she'd have 3 oz over the next 3 hours. I felt she was calming the reflux by drinking. She also had colic so never wanted to drink more than 1 oz at a time.

L pulled himself up to a standing position for the first time ever this morning, on the day he is 15 months. He's been kind of trying for a while but couldn't manage it. This morning before the OH went to work, we pulled L up to standing in his bed. Then I put him back sitting, and went out of the room to get something, and when I came back, he was standing but I thought the OH had pulled him up, but no! So happy!

Chaos my house is utter chaos!!

A was hugging & kissing S today loads tho - totally cheered me up after a 3 hr sleep night!
S seems to be struggling badly with wind - woke for a feed at 3 last night and I didn't get her back down til 6.30 at which point A was awake for the day! My hubby off for couple days now tho again thankfully so I got back for a nap for an hr!
I had forgotten how hard it is when they are windy! Started her on the infacol tonight so hopefully that'll help!

Great to hear all the other babas are doing good!

Actually - A wont eat - she refusing meals ? Not sure what its about but we gonna make a bigger effort to eat with her as we haven't been - hopefully that will help!

DL does S use a soother? I was really reluctant to give my little fella one but i find it really helped him with wind.

DL do you have a fast letdown ie does your milk squirt out quite fast initially?

I had this on my son and he had a terrible time with wind.

If you do I found feeding lying down helped as did hand expressing just a little bit until the letdown passed and then latching him on.
