    POSTCARD FROM THE SUN

Greetings fellow inmates, having a wonderful time, 28 degs today. Lots of sun, sand and sangria ( well a nice chilled white Rioja).

    Wish you were here.

    Hen

What a dreadful thing to post up....CHILLED rioja!!!!!!

Hen, I just don't know how you have the nerve! Well, at least we know you don't forget about us while soaking up all that sun. There is a gale blowing tonight and its raining heavy drops of water here at the moment so its a night for settling in beside the fire and watching something we probably saw before on TV.

Why do you think I am over here:D:D. My little nest is the first thing Atlantic storms hit when they make their way across Ireland, I'm all stormed out.

Ah, Rubes its WHITE Rioja, all the better for a bit of chilling;)

Enjoy the rugby match later on today folks.

you'll find they rise more if you use eggs, flour and sugar

a 2 and a half year old will make the mix a touch too overworked ;)

Ignore her Looksee! Don't be tempted to get into an argument about 'staycations' helping the economy, I doubt they'd work on Hen.

There is snow, sneachta, hailstones and all things white and cold falling on me today. There is definitely a brrrrr in March! Is Spring ever going to get going atall atall!? To make myself feel better I popped onto Google Images and asked it to show me 'a spring day in ireland'. But what images I saw are unrecognisable.......blue skies, yellow fields, sunshine.......lies, all of 'em, lies! Someone warn, (or even, warm) the tourists!

I don't think she has gone at all at all, she is just annoying us while sitting by her fire toasting gently.:D

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,552 ✭✭✭Layinghen

    Oh ye of little faith.

Just to really p--- you all off I am still on the balcony, surfing the net, watching the sun go down and having a little glass of vino.

Off for some tapas at 8:)

We really should ask matron if we all could move to the sun for the winter months. It would do us the power of good......

I will be a long time saving for that. We just got our gas and electricity bills! It's bad, really, really, bad. :(

Chucken, we had a naming of the child ceremony at Christmas so I put on thick black tights and a short dress which previously I had worn more as a top with trousers. Looked great, but not what I usually wear. So at the last minute I pulled trousers on top of the tights and put on a different top. Boy was I glad I did. The church was freeeezing! I nearly set solid in the layers I was wearing, if I had been wearing the short frock they would have had to carry me out!

Mmmm. yep, I tend to go for comfort which doesn't always meet with approval. Last wedding I attended, I could tell by my friends' faces that I was a big disappointment. Oh well, you can't win them all, especially when you're not even trying! :D

Back to Chuckie's dilemma, and I am here at your side to advise. How about this one, is it you do you think?.....https://instagram.com/p/rqwhseOZfO/

    Well, there's always M & S.
