Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Hi everyone!

Like many others on here I'm starting my student teaching placement in the next couple of weeks. Has anyone heard from or contacted the placement school in which they'll be teaching in? I have yet to, but I plan to get on it as soon as.

For those that have finished student placement what is there to expect on the first few days you arrive?

you should be getting info on initial meetings and school induction plus timetables this week. Just take it handy and follow the lead of your coordinating teacher and the school itself. Remember you are learning as well as teaching.
