Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Is the new bridge still the new bridge? Probably not but it shall always be known as the new bridge. :D

    Wellesley Bridge I believe, It used to swivel once upon a time.

    Incorrect Wellesley Bridge, was the name of the whole strutcture in the time of British rule. Wellesley Pier is still the name of the pier with the two boat houses, as far as I remember, the bridge was always seen as one structure with a section that opened to allow boats through. There was never more than one name on the bridge at any one time.

    Fair enough, I was always told that the swivel part of the bridge kept the Wellesley name. Looks like I may have been misinformed.

    As far as I know it's just the pier that kept the name, maybe that's where the mix up happened.
