    Hi all,

One of my work colleagues is having difficultly connecting his s4 mini to his PC.He has samsung kies downloaded and is using the original s4 data cable. I tried using my s3 running cyanogenmod and it work perfectly....downloaded drivers and kies discovered it straight away. Unfortunately his s4 will just charge connected. He has usb debugging turned on and is running stock s4 OS.

Can anyone shed some light on the issue. It would be a major help for him thanks!

its all problem with the latest samsung kies. I think.

With latest samung kies, the drivers are not getting installed properly.

    Steps to correct this problem
    1) Uninstall samsung kies
    2) Reboot system
    3) Install an old version of kies
    4) Connect your S4
    5) Old kies will install the drivers properly for your s4
    6) Now with the mobile connected, update kies from kies itself.

    All works after that.

    OK Try this
Close Kies and disconnect the phone from the PC.

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Samsung\Kies\USB Driver

    and run the installer.

Once complete reconnect the phone and wait for the drivers to install.
    Then launch Kies again

You may need a pc restart for the drivers to update properly

Let me know how you go!
