Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    UPDATE REPORT ON NDP ROUTES




    N7 NENAGH/LIMERICK

    The fencing contract is almost complete and hedge clearance and the initial archaeological dig has taken place. Discussions are ongoing with 5 preferred tenderers with a view to awarding the main contract in the coming months. It is expected that construction of the scheme will commence within 8 to 10 weeks of award of the main contract.


    N8 CULLAHILL/CASHEL

    Negotiations are continuing with the shortlisted preferred tenderers and it is expected that a contract will be awarded this summer with construction commencing in September/October. The fencing of this scheme will be carried out by the main contractor on commencement of the works.


    N7 NENAGH/CASTLETOWN

    Confirmation of the CPO was published on 31st of January, 2006 and it is proposed to serve Notice to Treat on all landowners in May/June. It is further proposed to award a fencing contract as an advance contract on the scheme and it is expected that this work will commence during the summer. The main contract is not programmed to start until early in 2008.

    Great news :) .. They are finally building the motorway/HQDC pass Portlaoise to Cork and Limerick

    Murphaph any news on the Cashel/Mitchelstown scheme or the Mitchelstown/Fermoy scheme?

    Where'd you get this JOOI?

    They aren't doing so well are they. The bulk of the work left until the end. I remember reading the NRA's website waaaay back in 2001 where they listed out all the interurban projects. Every one of them was supposed to be finished by the end of 2006 (with the exception of Waterford N9 which would be finished by 2007) since that was the end of the first National Development Plan. :rolleyes:

    One of the pics in it shows the Carrickmacross bypass as a DC .I alway thought it was a Single Carriageway?:confused:
