Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Just been reading that theres a range of new engines available in the Polo. One I'm most curious about is the 1.4 TDI. Is this the old PD unit or a new variant of the current CR ones?

    The new one is common rail. The old one was dropped in 09 AFAIK.

    It was but up to now the CR was never in a 1.4. Its also the very same cc as the old PD. Don't see it being popular though

    Its supposed to be quieter than the 1.2 TDI which sounds like a bag of spanners
