I am a mature student doing postgrad at NUIM. I have a son. I am considering letting out a small bedroom to someone in need for a nominal sum. I would prefer a female from Tipp, Kilkenny or down the country somewhere who doesn't have much money and would be going home for the weekend. I live in Celbridge about 7 mins bus ride to Maynooth. It might suit a studious quiet person

Yep, I'm heading in for first year too. Got Maynooth as my second choice so digs were a bitch to find. I ended up renting a converted garage at a house in Celbridge, anyone else living down there?

Ah that's mad! I would say my apartment number but maybe that's a bit too much on a public forum. :D

Wouldn't consider any of them teens. Just a lil joke...

I was in Hargadon 10 last year but spent the year constantly mixing up the address! I was Riordan sometimes or in 12 other times!

Last year Hargadon was done up so looks pretty good compared to the other three but I don't know if the other ones were done up this summer. They're the usual basic student accommodation. Bedroom with single bed, half wardrobe and a desk. They're small enough but I loved mine. I made it cosy. Two bathrooms and a kitchen shared between 5. Make sure to bring cutlery and plates and cutlery and everything! They don't provide anything anymore.

This was my room last year to give you an idea. One of it empty, one when I had it done up. That's pretty much the whole room there.

    Just a little follow up..

"You will be able to wait until your SUSI grant comes through before paying fees if you want to. You won't have a student card until you do pay fees though, this will limit some activities, i.e. you will be able to get a temporary pass for entry to the library however you won't be able to borrow books there. So there shouldn't be any affect on your studies here while awaiting the SUSI process to be completed.

The SUSI grants will hopefully be processed quickly though so you shouldn't be without your card for too long."

Received this after emailing one of the MSU.
