:pac::pac::pac::pac: I still haven't quite mastered it yet, whilst clothed, it is just so unnatural to pee standing up:rolleyes:

I never heard of those peezee things before! i am trying to think of how you would use it!!
I had seen those pop up loos before too and wondered if they were any good. How do you dispose of the bags?

The shower I would manage with a dip in that lake there:pac:

I heard good reports about shepees at festivals ;)

I was walking my three & there was a car parked at the end of the road. It's occupant, a slight African man, beamed at us as we walked by. My youngster leapt over a low wall & there was a load shriek. To my horror a very rotund lady appeared, over the wall, pulling up some voluminous underwear. She continued yelling & I assumed that the comments were directed at me until she climbed back over the wall & started screaming at the man cowering in the car. Apparently she was miffed that he hadn't told her that someone was coming :D

I don't think that the dog has recovered from the shock.

Thats the beauty of the peezees, you don't need to take your clothes off, just undo a zip if you've got trousers on, and I guess, make sure you don't get it on the inside of your skirt, if thats what you're wearing:eek::D

I can't see many of us rushing out to buy the indoor dog litter tray that was on Dragons Den. The best comment was when one Dragon remarked that it would give yet another excuse for not walking the dog !

    :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I was driving home from work this morning and kept on imagining sending a text which said "I've had an accident - but don't worry I'm ok" I was so concerned I drove extra slow and took and extra 20 mins getting home.

After I got home I got a call from my husband - the first words out of his mouth
"I've had an accident - but don't worry I'm ok"

Some dirty little spanner pulled onto the motorway at speed, smacked into the side of him, he scraped the side of the car, pushed him over into the outside lane, then sped off. He was gone so quickly that there was no hope of getting his reg and the guards told my husband that it's too bad. Nothing they can do without the reg.

I'm fuming - he said that he was trying to control the car while being pushed across the lane, worried to slow down too much in case he was hit too close to the front or back and pushed into a spin. It only lasted a couple of seconds, and probably an easy thing to do when lane changing on a motorway - but to not stop :mad::mad: flipping ass.

I'm lying in bed trying to sleep and I just keep thinking about how awful it would have been if anything worse had happened. :(

thats a nightmare whispered. Thank God everybody ok but Jaysus no one needs that fright and the damage to the car too I'm sure.
People that that have no conscience!

Jesus thats awful. Can't believe the guards can't do anything, surely they've some way of finding him. I'm sure the last thing on your OH's mind was looking at the reg plate and memorizing his reg. It could have been a whole lot worse if it had been an inexperienced driver he hit. What are the guards going to do wait until this guy kills someone and then go looking for him and cry out about road deaths when they could have prevented one by catching him before he kills or seriously injures someone.

Anyways I'm happy your OH is ok, thats weird how you were imagining it before you got the call.

You weren't listening to liveline. A guy had a valuable racing bike stolen from his van & the whole thing was caught on cctv. The Guards were adamant that they knew the thieves. But they didn't raid their houses because they couldn't get a search warrant during the weekend !

I would be mad if some idiot drove into me but I would be even madder if the Guards claimed that they couldn't do anything. The make & colour of the car plus the fact that is has damage & traces of paint on it should make it traceable.

At least my day was better - I rescued a kitten AAAAAAhhhhhhhh :D

That's cat altogether, next time I commit a crime I'l make sure to do it at the weekend! :D When there was a serious incident where I work it took the guards I think it was over half an hour to show up (for the first car plus 1 guard, 2 more cars arrived a lot later), by which time the gang were well and truely over the other side of the country. Thank dog I wasn't working, I came into work the next morning oblivious as to why there was fence posts and blood outside the door!

Photos please of the kitten! :D I have been waiting years for someone to dump a box of kittens outside my door or to find one in distress somewhere so I can rescue it and bring it home. Kittens seem to turn up at everyone else's door except mine!

He's at the Vets & I don't think the prognosis is good. He's a very weedy 8-10 week feral with a big swelling on the side of his head & he wasn't easy to catch. I would not be keeping him but hopefully he will be rehomed.

Poor little guy. He's in the right place anyways and better off than if you left him there. Finger crossed he'l pull through and find a nice home.

One of the Vet nurses was bitten by a cat & ended up in hospital on IV antibiotics

I got chatted up as a result of the rescue. An attractive woman mentioned that she was single three times & referred to me as a very caring man - where's that vomit smilie ?

Haha what's wrong with that that you need a vomit smiley? :D

I'm currently minding a friends 11 week old pup, she's here a week today and going home tomorrow, I'll miss her as will my daughter and the dogs(and I suspect one of the cats will miss her too, the other has been *bounced* a little too much)
I originally said I'd mind her to put me off getting another dog!
    Its not working!:P

Very jealous of all the puppy-ness in this thread lately! Watched a puppy socialisation group today and the levels of cute were through the roof. All floppy, excited and enthusiastic.

The day before yesterday there was a knock on our door - 2 little girls, I'd say 6 or 7, to see if we wanted them to walk the dogs. :D

I thought it would be really funny to say yes please and see how they react to the boys trying to win each other out the front door. I was in bed at the time though so no fun to be had, my husband just say no thanks.

Although in fairness, one of the little girls met my husband on his way back from a walk yesterday and helped him walk them back. Poor Harley was knackered and walking on a very loose lead so K just kept him to heel and handed the girl the loop. She was delighted with herself.

Dexter has arrived and is settling in nicely!
Picked him up from mallow about 5pm, and drove him back to limerick. got a little sick in van on way back, I presume from journey and stress. there was quite a bit of food. got him home and he perked up. immediately took to his bed, and toys. ate his dinner (dry food from lidl, what he's been eating already) and drank plenty of water. did a small accident inside while excited with a new visitor, then havent seen him do anything since. no sign of poop yet, which is a little worrying, but will put it down to the stress of the day. have him set up in a penned off area in the kitchen, with the back door open earlier, so you never know, he might have gone outside, is used to going on grass from where he was living. was crying a bit and hated the pen wall blocking him off, but when i didnt give in he settled back to his bed. took him out there about half hour ago to see if I could encourage toilet, but he just lay down sleepy outside, so after 10 minutes or so I brought him back into bed, and gave him a rub for a bit to settle him down, didnt even cry when I left him this time. fingers crossed!!

Gah!! In a few mins we'll be hitting the road heading down (from Dublin) to Gilabbey Vets in Cork!! I decided to be brave last week and give them a call to arrange a review so we can find out/decide if Bailey's other leg is going to be straightened too. He's done really well since getting the first one done so it's not as daunting this time around. I just hope the vet is as happy with his progress as I am and that I haven't done anything wrong etc Poor Bailey Boy is feeling very sorry for himself - we had to fast him in case they need to do any xrays - "Gimme my bekkies!!" :)

Aw, best of luck to the pair of you, hope it all goes well and he doesn't need the treatment.

The vet was really happy with him.:) We're going to get the second leg sorted as he's done so well and to avoid damaging the ligaments. It'll be FINE! We know what we're doing this time with crate rest etc and I'm feeling really positive knowing how much of a difference it'll make.
