    I: What about what-his-name?
    Withnail: What about him?
I: Why don't you give him a call.
    Withnail: What for?
    I:Ask him about his house.
Withnail: You want me to call what-his-name and ask him about his house?
    I:Why not?
    Withnail: Alright. what's his number?
I:I've no idea - I've never met him.
Withnail: Well neither have I. What the **** are you talking about?

'All Along the Watchtower' by Hendrix is on the soundtrack; need I say more?

It has a well worn theme where having a good time means being out of your skull on d rink all the time. i.e Men behaving badly and absolutely fabulous. It was good back then, I dont find that lark funny any more. Richard E Grant is excellent & still is a fine actor

Watchable but completely overratted, theirs at least 1,000 films out their that are better then it

I wouldn't say over-rated more like a 'cult classic' or marmite

Withnail: [having just drunk a bottle of lighter fluid] Got any more?
    Marwood: No. I have nothing.
Withnail: Liar. What's in your toolbox.
    Marwood: Nothing.
    Withnail: Liar. You've got antifreeze.
Marwood: You bloody fool. You should never mix your drinks.

**bit of trivia, for a genuine reaction the lighter fluid bottle was filled with vinegar (supposed to have been just water) and Richard E Grant was not informed, maybe everyone knows that but its interesting nonetheless!**

Marwood: There's a man over there who doesn't like the perfume. The big one. Don't look, don't look! We're in danger, we've got to get out.
Withnail: What are you talking about?
Marwood: I've been called a ponce.
    Withnail: WHAT ****ER SAID THAT?!
Irishman: I called him a ponce. And now I'm calling you one, PONCE!
Withnail: Would you like a drink?
    Irishman: What's your name, Mac****?
Withnail: ...I have a heart condition. I have a heart condition, if you hit me it's murder.
Irishman: I'll murder the pair of yous!

The first 40 mins is funny and well put together it sags quite a bit then and is pretty awful up to the last 10 mins which are ok. 7.7/10.

why is the video/audio quality so shoddy? .. for effect?

been subjected to too much modern big budget wankery on sky movies i reckon.. touch up so much **** they neglect the core product

The best way for me to define Whitnail and I is how ' oppisites attract ' like Alice in Wonderland on pot .
