Just back on the social anxiety, CBT would be optimal for that. I can't think of any more likely candidate for it imo.

Its sooooo expensive. I did 4 sessions at e150 a pop. Total waste of money in the end.

What about mindfulness? Has anyone tried that?

Let me tell you one thing: you probably notice that more than anybody . . .

Loads of people blush and lots of people find it attractive!

endearing is the word I've been told. But when its chronic it becomes a problem.

    feel bloody awful right now.
annoyed with self. mother in hospital and i'm too messed up myself to even visit.
someone else with her so it's ok for now. i usually was close to her so was always there before.
wish i was stronger, i feel like i have no energy and things are going on around me
and i'm too weak to even be involved.

  • Registered Users Posts: 328 ✭✭fiftythree

sorry guys i don't mean to moan, just feel utterly shattered. my energy levels are at such a low.
damn depression i wish it could be eliminated, for all of us, and for everybody.
i used to be so full of energy, and life, it just got sucked away somewhere.
made appt for doc but not til next week i honestly think i sank so low
i really need meds to get me started now.
i literally wake up aching with physical pain and wishing i didnt have to get up.
thanks for all your support, i wanted to post earlier but i think there
was some trolling going on and i didnt want to get into it.
i would support anyone who genuinely wanted to talk but
dont think that was the case.
just listening to radio now for a while before bed.
hope you are all ok out there,
    53

A bit more self judgment....am now drinking on my own and taking Valium sublingual to give me the balls to invite people over for a few drinks.

Whats happens if no one answers or doesn't want to call over? Thats the fear right now

glad it was alright.alcohol definitely does numb some of the anxiety.
up to a point, too much of it and all hell breaks loose.

even if people don't call over it is not necessarily because they don't want to be around you.
could be all sorts of reasons, busy with other stuff, secretly anxious themselves etc.
    hope your day is ok.
