You 'feels' you lose

I posted this elsewhere on Boards and Newie recommended that it would be appropriate for this thread so here it goes.....

I went to the Titanic Experience in Cobh today and you are given a ticket with the name of one of the 123 people to board the Titanic in Queenstown. Your ticket is based on your gender, so women get women and men get men.

I got Katie Peters, who was 26 when she left Galway with three pals in search of a better life in America. She was a third class passenger, like 113 of the 123 whom boarded in Cork. Third class passengers were not allowed to travel on the same tenders as the first and second class passengers, so while 10 travelled on one tender, all 113 third class passengers travelled on the other tender with all of the luggage.

Unfortunately, I discovered that Katie perished on the Titanic and her remains were never recovered. Of the other three she set sail with, only one survived
