Gah... Tempted by the Apex. I'd need a pair though. Great prices on the GX range - if only I had the cash.

    WOW some cracking deals there.

Pity there is no 5.1 speaker packages to suit my AV unit (130 watts per channel)...or have you anything in mind that would suit and currently reduced?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,076 ✭✭✭gman2k

Could I take no. 9 and no. 100 please?

John, which would be the better amp, the AVXR2100 (no. 8) or the ONKYO TSNR535 (no. 50)?  I've lost patience with the previous Onkyo and I want to get something with all that nice wireless stuff built in. I'm leaning toward the Denon, would that be the way to go?

    Hi Sappy404.

Unfortunately we have never had any Blu Ray players that have been able to play Multi region Bluray discs.

There used to be some that would do multi region DVD but not Blu Ray. Sorry.

    Hi Tinder Surprise.

The Polk would run along with your amp with no problems at all.

The Polk are rated at 100Watts so no issues on the 130 watt amp, just don't run them at max volume for a long period of time and you will be ok :D

    Hi Blastman.

Unfortunately the AVRX2100 was sold via the shop this afternoon before John knew about it.

We do still have the 535 if that would be of interest.

Let me know what you think.

    Sappy,

apologies for the delay getting back to you - unfortunately we don't stock ANY MR BluRay players at the moment ( unfortunately Sony have issued a firmware update that disables our multiregion mod at the mo) the only unit that (may) be available is the Denon DBT3313 as I understand there may be firmware available that would enable MR Playback - you can drop me a line if you would like further details..

    Tinder,

there is really no comparison to be honest - the TFX are great - but the Polks (IMO) are in a different league to be honest ( but they are display units)
