Bit of help need by any longford based soccer fan/boardies
Bringing a youth club away to Longford town the weekend of the Champions League Final ,One of the lads (15 year old ) in the group is a Chelsea fanatic and I'd hate to see him miss the final .
So looking for suggestions for the best local pubs/hotel in the area to watch the game and a place that would be ok with a 15 year old watching the game. (children after 9 and all that )

I will post in the longford forum later but thought I'd try here first .

most places should be fine, i've seen youngsters in pubs watching big sporting games before, namely valentines on main st. you can't really miss it.
the only issue you may have is because it's a saturday evening thing, and with the heineken cup final on, if leinster are in it, the place will be very busy. there's plenty of quieter places along the main st a couple of minutes walk either side anyway.

Are you just bringing one lad, or the whole team? Most pubs wouldn't like to see a team of underage lads coming in to watch a match on a busy saturday night to be honest.
If it has to be a pub, you could try mcpartlands in Clondra, or there are a couple of pubs in tarmonbarry, only a couple of miles from Flancare park.

Outside of pubs, you could look into 'The attic' youth club, or there is also a place under the stand in Flancare park where they serve tea coffee and sandwiches, they might have a TV on there.

No its just the one lad, Doesn't have to be a pub, In fact if there another choice available I'd prefer that.
But the ATTIC is a non started as it's the Hype Festival that they are involved with that we are bringing the club to. So I know its closed that Saturday night.

Match is on rte 2 so wherever ye are staying should ave it no problem.

TV they're lucky we're letting them have running water lol but serious we're camping and its 30 to 40 mins away from festival .Which is in longford town itself .So will have to find somewhere in and around it , but sounds like there's alot of good places around the town .

There'll be plenty of kids his age and younger in the pubs watching the game, so I wouldn't worry about that at all. Valentine's, PV's, Foley's, Coy's, Eamon's should all have it, with the first 2 probably being most suitable.

15/20 mins walk. You'll meet Valentine's first on the left hand side of main street from that direction.
